All mouth and no browsers

TECHNOGNU

It has been brought to my attention (by Stephen and others - thanks for the vote of confidence, Ed, your blog's rubbish, too ;) ) that this site doesn't load properly for some of you using Internet Explorer. In fact, you get the top post and nothing more.

All I can say is (a) there's more to this blog than meets the IE; and (b) go get a proper browser like Firefox or Opera (if you're using a Mac, you'll already be using Safari).

For more ammunition, have a look at Browse Happy.

(EDIT: I think I shall pin this post to the top of the blog (by changing the date to 2006), so that it's the first thing people see. Or, if they're using IE, the only thing they see...)

ANOTHER EDIT: OK, I have put a notice at the top of this blog, so this post can go back in the pack where it belongs.

Firefox mostly rocks, but there are some pages it will not display, such as my podcast stats page. I need IE for that. The problem is worse at work, where I need no less than 3 browsers on my Mac (OS 9) to see everything I want to see.

I suppose it would be too 'Mohammad-like' (to quote Jasper) to suggest you upgrade to OS X, hungbunny? ;)

Actually, scrub that. If you're using ProTools or something similar, you're probably better off with OS 9...

No ProTools, just stingy management. Although they are talking in hushed tones about the possibility of me getting Tiger soon. Grrrrr!

Actually, I'd tell them to hang on. Apple have just announced the development of OS 10.5. It's codenamed 'Leopard'. One wonders what the theme will be when they run out of big cats and OS XI eventually appears. I'm hoping for grape varieties myself, but I'm not all that optimistic...
